Founded in 2013 by Tseten Dolkar, the Dharamsala-based startup has grown from a small web development service to a thriving company with clientele around the globe. Officially registered under the Indian Partnership Act of 1932 in May 2015, Tibetan I Tech now offers expertise in everything from innovative mobile app development to professional graphic design work.
Tseten, who received a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) in Chandigarh grew her passion for technology after spending hours at cyber cafes. Working at a call center and a computer institute, she began attending local gatherings of tech enthusiasts in Dharamsala. Tseten eventually used her private savings to set up an office in McLeod Ganj and, with the addition of partner Tenzin Sonam, now employs and provides training for numerous local Tibetans interested in the tech industry.
Introduced to Startup Wave through the Central Tibetan Administration’s (CTA) Tibetan Entrepreneurship Development (TED), Tibetan I Tech recently developed a comprehensive business plan and marketing strategy to expand on its initial success.
